F.A.B Ultra Repair Cream

Happy (Belated) Valentine’s Day! I hope you all were showered with lots of love and pampering – I know my skin desperately needed some¬†ūüí̬†This¬†winter has been so drying that I’ve resorted to turning off the heaters and forcing my housemates to sleep in the cold (sorry, not sorry). Still, I found myself waking up with dehydrated crocodile skin. Not sexy¬†ūüíĒ¬†The worst part is that I can’t even hide the redness without¬†my foundation clinging on to my dry patches for dear life.¬†So, a friend set me up with her favorite moisturizer, the F.A.B Ultra Repair Cream.¬†

As she explained how it’ll¬†soothe parched and irritated skin like mine, I skeptically scanned the packaging¬†like it was a Tinder profile to find the catch. However, I¬†was¬†pleasantly surprised to discover promising ingredients like colloidal oatmeal,¬†moisturizing shea, and brightening licorice root. Plus, with¬†no added parabens, harsh chemicals, or colorants…sure, why not? I’ll swipe right!

I purchased a tube from Sephora and as promised, my distressed skin drank it up gratefully. Even though it had a lightweight, whipped texture, I still half-expected my pores to clog up since the cream was so intensely moisturizing. To my relief, I never broke out. In less than a week, my skin was hydrated enough for my foundation to glide on again. Even my boyfriend has noticed a difference; he won’t stop holding my hands because they’re so incredibly soft. Definitely a keeper! (I meant the cream, but I guess also my boyfriend.)

full disclosure: I initially wrote this review as a writing sample for a Popsugar position #hiremeūü§ě¬†Since I haven’t heard back, I’m publishing here! I stand by every word hope it can help rescue another sensitive face.¬†
